Openreach have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Analyst - Data to join any of our following smart working locations: London, Birmingham, Ipswich, Cardiff or Leeds.

The Data, Analytics & Insights Office is driving the transformation of Openreach into a data-driven enterprise, where proactive insight is at the heart of our decision making - fuelled by the democratisation of data, improved data literacy of our people, constant access to the data we need and the ability and inquisitiveness to question, hypothesis, test and learn from data. Put simply, we want to empower every person in Openreach to always make the very best possible decision.

As a Business Data Analyst within DAIO, you will be the translator between the business and technical teams. You will enable successful change by delivering clear, high quality requirements and solutions.

In this role you will take ownership of delivering and managing your workload while proactively communicating to all stakeholders and always demonstrating the DAIO communication principles.

You'll have the following responsibilities

• Identifying and analysing both functional and non-functional requirements

• Producing clear, accurate and appropriate documentation which is an asset to the understanding, delivery and management of change in DAIO

• Understanding the business needs, strategies and technical capabilities – balancing and considering them when understanding requirements. You will ensure solutions are properly modelled and thought through both in terms of delivery and the ongoing support

• Supporting the delivery teams, programme managers and business partners in creating and meeting delivery plans

• Taking responsibility for tracking requirements through delivery to business acceptance, actively managing scope to prevent creep while remaining flexible in your approach

• Understanding business benefit drivers, being outcome and value driven in everything you do

You'll have the following skills & experience

• Prior experience as a Business Analyst required, including demonstrable experience of working with data driven teams and/or within a Data Enterprise, preferably in relation to Data projects

• Experience in working in an Agile environment – you understand the importance of continuous, iterative delivery of value, plus the tools and techniques to facilitate and control this

• Able to demonstrate a value-centric approach to work, driven by delivering measurable value to stakeholders

• Proven ability to manage a range of stakeholders at all levels including mediation and problem-solving

• Experience in breaking down, translating, and documenting complex business needs into technical deliveries

Benefits

As well as offering a competitive base salary, you’ll also have a rewarding bonus scheme, access to equity schemes and an attractive pension offer.
