About this role
This high-profile role is critical for the growth of our drone solutions business. Working with cutting edge technology in one of the UK’s most rapidly growing industries. You will play a leading role in the creation, development and delivery of new drone services.
You will define our product roadmap, using multiple methods to test and validate the approach with our brilliant teams, partners and customers. You will enable BT to meet emerging customer needs, delivering and driving our strategic commercial objectives and radically grow our Drone service offering.
You'll have the following responsibilities
- Create strategic product roadmaps across a portfolio aligned to the drone strategy, driven by knowledge of market and key customer engagement.
- Build brilliant relationships with internal teams, partners and suppliers as part of solution to create amazing customer experiences
- Lead solution design and delivery from concept design to acceptance into sales/service and through to launch
- Support the sales and delivery team with customer trials, PoC’s, bids and pre-sales conversations.
- Responsibility for successful Identification and design of PoC’s/Trial’s with customers to prove out elements of roadmap build
- Create and maintain competitiveness of products in the market and evolve them to maintain/gain market share and increase P&L.
- Drive collaboration across commercial, marketing, finance, legal, security, support and technology to enable successful delivery of product into life

- Technical acumen: Ability to build a broad understanding of the potential capabilities of future technology in drones and the customer solutions it could offer and a deep understanding of the product portfolio.
- Commercial acumen: Understanding of the strengths and gaps of our competitors, and the future needs of our customers. Deep understanding of driving competitive advantage through propositions and solutions.
- Service acumen: Experience of working with legal, procurement, security, service to ensure
Experience/knowledge you would be expected to have
- Mandatory: Proven product management experience of taking a product from product strategy through to delivery.
- Mandatory: Proven track record of working with new technology, assessing assumptions, and working in collaboration with customers to prove components of a roadmap
- Mandatory: AGILE/Lean experience.
- Mandatory: Technical and commercial acumen.
- Preferred: Experience of drone technology
As function will be supporting public services the Role holder will be expected to either have MoD Security Clearance or see no reason why they would not be successful in obtaining MoD Security Clearance.
