Home Service Field Based Advisors and Installers
What’s the role about?
We are recruiting nationally for Estimators and Fitters to join our Home Service Family working in the field team. We have roles available in Inner and Outer London, South West, North East and North West of the UK.
We have a mixture of Permanent and Fixed term roles available, which can be discussed at the interview stage. Salary upto £28500
Our Home Services Partners play an important role in ensuring our customers receive an unforgettable John Lewis experience. As one of our Estimators you will provide accurate estimates for the supply and fitting of John Lewis window and Flooring products in our customers’ homes. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation of John Lewis window dressing products in our customers’ homes.
If you don’t have experience already, full training will be provided. Using your proven customer service experience, you will be fully focused on inspiring and delighting our customers. Attention to detail and clear communication is key to ensuring your customers gain your trust while you are with them.
What will you be doing?
You will work primarily independently, so you will be managing your own time and will need to ensure your day runs smoothly. However, even though you will work alone, you will have the full support of your team and people manager.
You will be driving between our John Lewis branches, Service Buildings in your region and our customer homes, which means a driving licence is required for this role.
As an Estimator, you will be an ambassador for our John Lewis products, taking measurements in the customers home and providing a quote to our customers. After providing your quote, you will use your exceptional selling & service skills to convert the quote into a sale.
As a Fitter you will be carrying out the fitting of window dressing products (curtains, blinds, shutters and associated products such as poles and tracks). You will use your skills and expertise to deliver high quality installation standards, ‘Right Fit First Time and exemplary customer Service.
As these roles are filed based the use of IT is paramount, you will be required to use systems to create estimates and log jobs, Email customers and keep up to date with business and compliance information electronically.
There is a large amount of driving in these roles and you will be allocated a Partnership vehicle that you will have sole use of for work purposes and will be responsible for its maintenance.
These roles cover the catchment of the following shops/areas:
Inner London - Oxford Street, Peter Jones, White City, Brent Cross, Kingston and Stratford (Filters also from the Welwyn area)
Outer London - Welwyn & Milton Keynes
South West - Bristol (Cribbs Causeway) and Exteter
North East - Leeds, York and Sheffield
North West - Manchester (Cheadle and Trafford)
