What’s the role about?
In this role, you will drive the engagement across the Partnership to improve the understanding of our data, policies and standards, working closely with your stakeholders to ensure that you drive data quality and ensure the data that we use is accurate and trusted.
But what use is data if people don’t know what it means or that it exists? Building a knowledge repository to educate our stakeholders is vital, and being an advocate for the importance of compliant data is key. You will be championing the voice of our customers (internal/external) for data, assisting to safeguard our trusted reputation.

What you’ll be doing as a Data Steward:
As a Data Steward in the Data Management Profession, you will work closely with areas of the business to drive data quality improvements and ensure that data governance processes are adhered to, gathering knowledge and information around best practices for data stewardship.
Supporting your stakeholders and their community, you will develop trusted relationships which enable you to act as the main point of liaison for key issues or incidents and understand how the domain's priorities link to the business and data strategies.
You will use your data management subject matter expertise to support the domain, manage and track their risks, and actively manage data compliance and issue resolution.
What you’ll have:
Expertise in data quality practices, approaches and challenges within large organisations.
Experience driving data quality improvements.
Experience in delivering complex and / or large data projects as a data subject matter expert.
A good understanding of data protection and information security legislation and how this relates to the business strategy.
What else you could bring:
Business analysis or project management experience.
Knowledge of Data Management technologies and tools.
Data Management qualification.
GDPR Practitioner level or equivalent.
Membership of Data Management groups / communities.
