Job Description

Pay and Hours

Working 5 from 7 days on a rotating basis, this will include a Saturday or a Sunday. 

Minimum hourly rate available including shift allowance 

06:00-14:00 am shift £ 10.80

14:00-22:00 pm shift £ 12.65

22:00-06:00 nights    £ 13.43

About the role 

Our Distribution Centres are made up of 3 separate warehouses, each holding our Chilled (+2c), Fresh (+12c) or Ambient goods. You’ll be trained in how to work safely across all three of these different environments so you can ensure that our goods are stored, replenished, picked and dispatched using our mechanical handling equipment.

As a Warehouse Assistant for Waitrose & Partners, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Taking ownership for your own and others safety whilst at work

  • Working both independently and as part of a team

  • Supporting our Transport and Branch Partners by ensuring orders are assembled accurately on time

  • When handling a product you’ll make sure that it's always received, stored, packed and delivered to our customers to the very highest standards

 

What else will I be doing?

Other daily tasks will see you: 

  • Adhering to all Health and Safety and Operational procedures

  • Keeping the warehouses as safe environments for all Partners to work in 

  • Please note that this role involves some heavy lifting

 

Desirable experience skills and qualifications: 

  • Basic standards of written English and basic Maths
