We operate a hybrid working model, subject to government guidelines, where regular attendance in our Brighton office is required. Attendance in the office is team and role dependent. 

Role 

TPR is looking for an IT Project Manager, who is experienced in all aspects of IT Project delivery. There are two strategic IT projects, one is a redefinition of the IT Access Model and the other is to create and build our Next Generation Desktop, working environment. This is an existing role and will include; Building the case for change, defining the programme of work, supplier selection, installation and commissioning of any IT Infrastructure. 

You will work within a multi discipline team, acting as the interface between the project, TPR’s IT department and TPR’s users and visitors. You will ensure that proposed solutions are fit for purpose and delivered on time and to the agreed budget. Delivery of these projects will require demonstrable technical experience gained through design and delivery of a security architecture, zero-trust networks and multi-factor authentication. The candidate will also be able to demonstrate knowledge of a Cloud First environment based on MS Azure. 

This role will suit an experienced Project Manager who is capable of organising and delegating to a team that will consist of Solution Architects, Installation Engineers, Test and Commissioning Engineers and Technicians. 

The candidate will be expected in working in a Hybrid manner, including from home and TPR’s building as required.

Job description

You will: 

• Define and establish project operations and a project team. 

• Define the project, implement and operate appropriate governance and identify project stakeholders.  

• Document Project Initiation Document (PID) and reach agreement with stakeholders.  

• Lead project operations - be the single point of contact for all activity and maintain Project Controls.  

• Manage project finances tracking internal and supplier costs. 

• Understand and ensure adherence to data security and privacy regulations.  

• Define and agree data quality objectives and ensure project delivery adherence against these.

Responsibilities

Essential and Desirable Criteria 

You will have: 

• Demonstrable experience of establishing project operations within Government or a regulatory environment to achieve expected outcomes within agreed tolerances of time, cost and quality. 

• Experience of delivering IT Security, Access Control and Desktop Environment projects (Multi-factor Authentication, Zero-Trust Networks). 

• Experience of leading projects taking into account many technical perspectives and identifying the best fit solution against agreed stakeholder requirements. 

• Experience of complex risk, issue and dependency management across complex stakeholders within a highly governed environment. 

• Stakeholder management at all levels and facilitation to be able to conclude discussions and 

• reach consensus where multiple stakeholders may have multiple conflicting views. 

• Accredited to Practitioner level in an industry recognised Project management methodology or equivalent experience. 

• Desirable (established Agile operations and change governance through full lifecycle from receipt of request through to implementation).
