We are looking to fill both Full time and part-time positions this summer at the West Ham United Foundation. As a Sport Activity Leader you will be at the forefront of delivering a successful activity programme, providing instruction, guidance and coaching to the students, whilst ensuring all activities are delivered to provide a safe, secure and tolerant environment in a proactive and engaged manner.

Furthermore, we aim to offer the best, high-quality football programmes which will take participants to have a unique experience, learn and improve their techniques and tactics, all this combined with English classes plus activities and cultural excursions in our 2022 summer camp in London. Our students come from many different countries from all over the world, creating a real international and multi-cultural environment for staff to work in.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing and leading off-site excursion
Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact
Ensure the activities and excursions operates to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety and safeguarding practices
Manage and instruct during on-site activities sessions which enable the development of students’ sports abilities and skills
Maximise participants satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds their expectations
Additional Duties:
To lead, supervise, motivate & engage students on the football programme, activities and trips
To enthusiastically promote the Activity Programme
To ensure adequate preparation & set up for on/off-site activities
To prepare, plan & lead students on excursions
To maintain levels of student discipline, safety and welfare
To assist in day-to-day general duties as instructed by senior management
To work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children and young people
To carry out residential supervision duties, including meal and bedtime supervision as
requested by the Centre Manager
To complete ‘prep time’ in accordance with the requirements outlined by line managers
To benefit the delivery of the activity and excursion programme
To help manage and maintain activity stock, which will include lifting of equipment
Requirements & Compliance:
The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to the football programme ,academic, welfare and safeguarding matters.
Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.
Education Required:
Specialism in sports coaching or sports science,
Specialism in medicine or nursing
Football coaching
Valid First Aid Certificate
Experience Desired:
Summer Camp experience, preferably in a multi-cultural environment
Experience in working in, or qualifications in sports coaching, football coaching
Specialism in nursing or medicine

Salary and benefits:
Must be eligible to work in the UK (EU citizens need settled/pre settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme or be in possession of a “Frontier Worker Permit†or another work visa.
Salaries vary depending on role and are in line with industry standards. All salaries exceed minimum wage.
£ 375 per week (inclusive of holiday pay).
An induction programme designed to prepare you for the sport camp life.
All staff are offered residential accommodation and meals free of charge (worth £385 per week).
6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week)
One full day off per week.
All staff will be expected to complete an enhanced DBS check if they are not already on
the DBS Update Service and supply us with references
