Brownsea Castle, it’s our place by the sea, our island getaway across beautiful Poole Harbour offering an escape, history and nature to our guests. Guests stay in the amazing Tudor castle set in 17 acres of private grounds on the National Trust and the Dorset Wildlife Trust  run island, surrounded by stunning Italian gardens with a private beach offering relaxation and beautiful nature walks where you might be able to spot the native deer and red squirrels.

With all of the island to explore or using any of the facilities on offer; a croquet lawn, children's play area, badminton, football, cricket, fishing, archery and frisbee golf you can guarantee that our guests will be hungry and looking to recharge with the fantastic food offering we give them.

We are looking for both Full-time and Part-Time partners to work on rota basis, some evenings and weekends will be required for either role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help to assist in basic food preparation

  • Take responsibility for deliveries, stock rotation and putting away stock correctly

  • Cleaning tasks within the kitchen,  which includes the recording of cleaning schedules

  • Complete and monitor temperature checks for kitchen equipment.

  • Follow our Food safety operating procedures

  • Operation of the dishwasher,  ensuring all items are cleaned to the highest standard.

 This is a role where you will receive ongoing training and there is scope to progress throughout the kitchen.

This role offers variety to your working day as well as the opportunity to gain experience within the hospitality industry. The emphasis always being on providing exceptional customer service.

Desirable experience skills and qualifications:

  • Previous commercial kitchen experience including basic preparation of food items
  • Able to be flexible in work approach and skill training
